Essential Beauty & Wellness Studio is a skincare brand focused on inclusive, holistic treatments that support both skin health and emotional well-being. The client came to me with a brand that wasn’t resonating — outdated visuals, inconsistent messaging, and a website that felt disconnected from their actual values. Our goal was to realign the visual identity and digital presence to reflect the studio’s authentic approach: warm, empowering, and grounded in care.
The original branding had received poor feedback and left the founder feeling disconnected from her own business. The look and messaging didn’t resonate with her values or her clientele, and the site’s functionality added friction to communication and booking. She needed an identity that felt rooted in expertise, inclusive by design, and distinct from the soft, overly minimal trends dominating the wellness space.
We rebuilt the visual identity with a clear focus: reflect the founder’s deep knowledge of skincare science and her love for rich, earthy visuals — without falling into the typical “wellness beige” aesthetic. The brand needed to feel bold and confident, but not loud. Grounded, but not flat.
The direction blends dark, saturated tones with vintage-inspired typography and layout choices. Drawing influence from 1930s glam and subtle art nouveau forms, we developed a style that’s both sophisticated and expressive — with a slightly nerdy undertone that nods to the technical precision behind her work.
The visual system balances contrast and warmth, using layered textures, deep color, and stylized typography to create a sense of refinement and individuality. Every element was chosen to move away from soft, minimalist clichés and instead carve out a brand presence that feels intelligent, bold, and grounded in purpose.
The rebrand re-centered the client’s voice and values, giving her a visual language she’s excited to stand behind. She now feels clear, confident, and aligned with how she’s showing up both in person and online. The brand has helped her stand out in a crowded space, attract more aligned clients, and confidently speak about what makes her studio different: evidence-based treatments delivered with care, intention, and style.
